Qld: Police fear missing mother has been murdered
GOLD COAST, Aug 18 AAP - A Gold Coast mother missing for nearly four weeks may havebeen murdered, police said today.
Police have launched a search of the Southport Spit for clues to the suspicious disappearanceof Julie Rose Nicholson.
Mrs Nicholson, 48, was last seen alive by her husband and was reported missing on July 23.
Detective Inspector Ken Bemi said today he could not rule out the possibility thatMrs Nicholson had been murdered.
A small amount of blood was found in her home.
Clothing, carpet and two cars have been seized by police for forensic testing.
Insp Bemi said fresh information had led police to search the Seaway area today.
Mrs Nicholson's four-year-old daughter is being cared for by relatives.
