SYDNEY, Jan 14 AAP - While most high school students are at the beach or playing videogames, Carmen Newton and Peter McConkey are spending their holidays with some of Australia'smost distinguished actors.

The teenagers were today announced as the winners of the inaugural Australia Post-BellShakespeare Scholarship for Dramatic Performance for regional students.

The scholarship gives aspiring young actors an insight into the world of professionaltheatre and the chance to work with the renowned actor John Bell and the Sydney-basedBell Shakespeare Company.
